Mental health and mental illness are two of the greatest concerns and challenges to our society today. We would be hard pressed to find anyone whose life has not been affected somehow by mental health challenges or mental illness; either directly or through someone they care about. But with so many competing voices in our culture offering diagnosis or cures, how are we as Christians to wade into a sometimes confusing, but highly personal and important subject?

It is of great comfort to know that the issues that trouble us most are things that God cares deeply about. And as our great high priest and saviour, Jesus cares about our mental health too. But he doesn’t want us to simply bring our problems to him. He want to help us see them through the light of the truth he show us and the life he gives.

To that end, listen in as Scott and Shawn begin a series of discussions on learning to think like Jesus about mental health. By way of introduction, they set the stage for how we want to approach the subject with the mind of Christ, but also offer real encouragement and comfort for those of us who might be presently struggling through mental health or mental illness challenges.
