What Can Christians Learn From Jordan Peterson?
Jordan Peterson is a clinical psychologist, media personality, author, speaker, and emeritus professor of psychology from the University of Toronto. He has a global audience and fan base numbering in the millions. Notably, most of this number is comprised of young men.
This phenomenon has not been lost on Peterson, which is evident through his writing and cultural analysis. His work often identifies the impact that “woke” culture’s negative view of masculinity is having on today’s generation of men.
Peterson has also garnered a strong following among Christians. This is likely due to his favourable presentation and defence of Christian teaching in the public square. In fact, many Christians see Peterson as a spokesman for Christianity.
On July 12, 2022, Jordan Peterson posted a video on his YouTube channel entitled: “Message to the Christian Churches”. In essence, it was a message for the Christian church to pick up the ball dropped by western culture by calling young men back to the rightful pursuit of their life’s purpose as men.
Given Peterson’s cultural impact, as well as his influence upon Christians, Scott and Matt sat down to analyze (for good and bad) Jordan’s message to the church. Listen in to this podcast episode to join the discussion.
