Cultural Apologetics

As a part of learning to think biblically, Christians must also be trained to think critically about the culture we live in. A large part of the cause for the confusion regarding truth and knowledge facing the present generation of Canadian Christians has been the error in assuming that the secularism of Canadian public thought is spiritually neutral. Christians by and large have accepted the perspectives of secularism on public issues resulting in an inevitable conformity of Christian life and thought to the secular culture.

In order to restore and preserve a generation of Christians who will live as culture transforming “salt and light”, we must teach this generation of Christ’s followers to once again think critically about the world around them and be able to identify the lies of Satan that permeate any system of thought that is not founded in Christ.
